Bio

* 1968, studied at ‚Hochschule fuer Bildende Kuenste‘ in Hamburg, since 2006 Piller is professor at ‚HGB Leipzig‘. He received Rubens-Foerderpreis from the city of Siegen (2003), Albrecht-Renger-Patzsch-Preis awarded by Dietrich Oppenberg-Stiftung in Essen (2003) and the renown Ars-Viva-Foerderpreis by Bundes Deutscher Industrie (2004, Edwin Scharff-Preis granted by the office of culture in Hamburg (2011). His solo show „Belegkontrolle“ was exhibited at Fotomuseum Winterthur, Centre de la Photography Geneve, Municipal gallery Nordhorn and Kunsthalle Nuremberg. Piller also exhibited at manifold other institutions, such as Kunstverein Braunschweig (2011), at Museum of Art Bonn (2009), at municipal gallery Glarus (2007), Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art Rotterdam (2005/2006), Museum for Contemporary Art Siegen (2003). Peter Piller published his artist book in 10 volumes and some more catalogues and artist books with Revolver Publishing by VVV
