Julien Charriere and Julius von Bismarck have collaborated widely, but have gained especially for the site specific performance “Some pigeons are more equal than others” at Venice Architecture Biennial 2012, which was later on display in Copenhagen, Berlin, as well as at Palais de Tokyo in Paris (2013).

Julian Charrière (born 1987, Morges, Switzerland) is a Swiss artist currently living and working in Berlin, Germany. He attended the École cantonale d’art du Valais and the Berlin University of the Arts, where he was student of Olafur Eliassson. Charrière was the recipient of the 2014 Prix culturel Manor Vaud which featured a major solo exhibition of his work at the Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts in Lausanne. In his research-based practice, Julian Charrière uses sculptural objects and images—both moving and still—to explore the connections between human activity, ecology, the environment, and time. inspired by the social and natural sciences, using biological and earthen substances as materials, he uses some scientific methods in an archeologist or geologist way.

Julius von Bismarck (born 1983 in Breisach am Rhein, Germany) is a German artist currently living and working in Berlin, Germany. He attended the Berlin University of the Arts and the Hunter College in New York. For his works he uses photography, video, installation and performance. His works confront human perception and experience. His project Image Fulgurator was awarded the Prix Ars Electronica and widely acclaimed by a wider audience as well as presented in various media outlets like Wired, Arte and The Creators Project of Vice among others. For Versuch unter Kreisen (Experiment Among Circles) (2012), conceived while he was a Collide@CERN resident, von Bismarck created a system that fluctuates between chaos and order. he works on new ways of thinking about physical and social constraints.
